While a lot of people think that\u2019s the case, there\u2019s actually a grammar rule behind when to use \u201cwho\u201d vs. \u201cwhom.\u201d There\u2019s nuance to this issue, but \u201cwho\u201d and \u201cwhom\u201d are both pronouns. \u201cWho\u201d is used to refer to the subject of a sentence, and \u201cwhom\u201d refers to the object of a verb or preposition in a sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An easy trick to understanding which word to use is to answer the question using other pronouns.
